La Granja de Esporles, situated 15 km from Palma, is a beautiful 10th century mansion surrounded by lush vegetation, beautiful gardens and natural fountains. The owners have opened its doors to the public for them to enjoy a rare taste of traditional Mallorcan culture and history through the fasninating and well preserved surroundings. La Granja is a mixture of stately and rustic style, because, as well as being used as a residence, it was also an estate dedicated to agricultural production which at one time had more than a hundred workers. Handcraft and Folkdance shows are on display Wednesday and Fridays from 15:30 to 17:00.
