The town of Marratx neighbouring Palma kicks of the festival season in the Balearic Islands with the Sa Rua fancy dress parades (Sa Rua) on Sunday 19th. There are prizes for the three best fancy dresses (€600 for the best, €450 for second place and €300 for third) and the parade will end opposite the Town Hall where a huge chocolate party will be held, complete with music and other assorted entertainment. This is definitely one the kids won’t forget.
