Cabalgata dels Tres Tombs
Barcelona holds one of its most unusual celebrations this week as animals take to the steets to celebrate The Cabalgata dels Tres Tombs. The celebration lasts until the 28th of January and comemorates St Anthony with processions and blessings of animals in various districts around the city, the largest being in the district of Sant Andreu and the Eixample. Cats, dogs, donkeys and mules are among those that line up to be blessed on Ronda Sant Pau in the Eixample. In Sant Andreu, thousands of people join a procession amidst musical celebrations and dances - definitely one for camera.
