For something a bit different in Tenerife, tours of the Bananera El Guanche banana plantation are worth a visit to learn how the island’s most common fruit is grown. A video presentation is followed by a tour of the plantation which also grows a selection of exotic plants and fruit. At the end, a sampling session of the various liquors and juices extracted from the fruits is possible and tickets are around €6.
