Whale Watching in The Canaries

All year

In terms of the number of visitors - around 800,000 per year according to the Tourist Board - The Canaries are the second most popular place in the World for whale watching. Most of the action is focused around the southeast of Tenerife and the sea which separates it from La Gomera. More than 20 boats are licensed to make the crossing to the large colony of pilot whales of which there are 550 members, as well as another 24 species of the 78 sea mammals which exist in the World. Amongst those you might be lucky enough to see are Bottlenose dolphins and Blue whales. This is one for all the family and one kids are sure to love.
