If you want to see how windsurfing is really done, head to Pozo Izquierdo, Gran Canaria in Santa Lucia de Tirajana to see the latest round of the World Windsurfing Pro Tour. The weekend, from June 29th-1st July, features competitions in the wave and freestyle disciplines as world class competitors try to beat each other through a set course to be first across the line. Freestyle is more chilled-out as windsurfers show-off their tricks but wave is the most spectacular event as windsurfers leap high into the air off waves, performing tricks at full speed.
