Feria de Malaga 2010
This year, the Malaga Fair will be celebrated from August 13th to August 22nd. This event, the Feria de Agosto, always starts on the Friday of the second half of August and conmemorates the merging of Malaga to the Castilian Crown due to the conquest by the Catholic Monarchs on 19th August 1487. The city’s major summer festival starts with 30 minutes of light and fireworks display that is beautifully co-ordinated with classical music.
The fair has two entertainment zones. The ‘Night Fair’, which is the main one and is held in the Cortijo Torres, and the ‘Day Fair’, held in downtown in the historic area of the city. Flamenco, sevillanas, bullfights and pop concerts will fill the city with an atmosphere of party and joy that will make your holidays perfect if you are around Malaga during the Fair.
