Sitges Horror Film Festival
If you’re in Barcelona over the next few weeks, don’t forget to make the 30 minute train journey to the pretty town of Sitges where until mid-October, you can also enjoy the town’s horror film festival. The Catalonia International Film Festival, more commonly known as the Sitges Festival, is held every year in this town on the Garraf Coast.
The festival specialises in horror and fantasy films, and is one of the most important events in the world for this genre. Each section features eagerly awaited new releases and past classics (in the tribute and retrospective sections), along with shorts and a broad range of complimentary activities.
