The Esteban Vicente Museum of Contemporary Art in Segovia is currently hosting an exhibition on the relationship between Spanish art and its relationship with nature.
The Tourist Board reports that the exhibition explores the way in which Spanish artists’ treatment of nature has evolved over the years, from the conceptual art of the late 1960s and early 1970s, when the idea of nature was expanded and approached from a new perspective, to the young artists of the 21st century, who create installations in natural settings both as an aesthetic statement and to highlight the need to respect the environment.
