Winter may be approaching but Windsurfers are a hardy bunch. The Spanish round of the men’s surfing World Championship Tour will be held at Mundaka near Bilbao on the north coast of Spain between 3rd-14th October. This round forms part of the highest level of surfing in the Word - the World Championship Tour (WCT) - where the top 45 males and 18 females compete for the title of World Champion throughout the year. Each leg has a prize of US$280,000 for the winner. Mundaka provides some of the most spectacular surf in Spain - a green and mountainous area that creates some of Europe’s wildest waves.
