Flamenco and nightlife in Seville

Seville is always a good destination for a weekend break. Take a look at all the low cost airlines nearby your city, get a cheap plane ticket and enjoy a few days in Seville. You don’t have to worry about your social agenda, I will take care of it. Just take a look at my suggestions and make your own tour:

Flamenco in Seville
Los Gallos

Plaza Santa Cruz,
It has a professional cast. However, it is pricey.

El Tamboril
Plaza Santa Cruz
A renowned flamenco bar in the opposite corner of Los Gallos. Singers and dancers drop in occasionally and offer spontaneous flamenco.

La Carboneria
Levies 18
It also has spontaneous flamenco. Best days: Monday or Thursday after 10pm. It is located just to the northeast of the church of Santa Cruz. It used to be the coal merchant’s building and is a large, simple and welcoming place. The front bar with a more rustic, winter pub atmosphere includes a piano, stone walls and floors, fireplaces and wooden tables and chairs. A mix of people, from pijo to earthy, from Spanish to every nationality under the sun, with plenty of Americans.

Quita Pesares
Plaza Jerónimo de Córdoba
It is near the church of Santa Catalina. It is run by a flamenco singer and is a chaotic place where there’s often impromptu music (especially at weekends) when things get lively around midnight.

Bares de Copas in Seville (bars)
Sopa de Ganso

Pérez Galdós (Alfalfa)
Offering a wide range of tapas as well as mixed drinks, you can find some good food in the early hours but later in the evening the place is set up for drinking. Music varies but they play more rock and Spanish pop.

Boss
Betis (Triana)
One of the biggest discos around is Boss, located across the river from the center on Calle Betis. With 4 bars located at various levels and a very large, stadium type dance area it’s a favorite of many for the late night scene. Dress well and go in small groups to get in.

Big Ben
Betis (Triana)
A great place for shots and beers. The crowd is mostly international during the week and mix of Spaniards and tourists during the weekends.

Mu dAqui
Betis, 55 (Triana)
Cheap drinks and great music. Right next to Big Ben.

Long Island
It has a list of 50 shots and the walls and ceiling are covered with college and pro sport paraphernalia from all over the USA.
