Ryanair opens new routes from Dublin to Vitoria, Seville, and Almeria
Ryanair opens new routes from Dublin to Vitoria, Seville, and Almeria in Spain and Billund in Denmark and Rzeszow in Poland. The low-cost Irish airline will add two further aircraft and open nine more routes from Dublin before May.
Peter Sherrard, Ryanair’s Head of Communications said in a press relese that “Ryanair now serves 11 Spanish destinations and 7 Polish destinations from Dublin. Today’s new route to Billund is also the first low fare route between Ireland and Denmark. “To celebrate these new destinations, Ryanair is releasing half a million seats from Dublin to Europe for just €9.99 all in.” More info in Travelbite: Ryanair opens 5 new routes from Dublin
Ryanair destinations in Spain are: Santiago de Compostela, Santander, Vitoria, Valladolid, Zaragoza, Reus, Girona, Madrid, Valencia, Murcia, Almería, Granada, Málaga, Jerez, Seville, Tenerife, and Fuerteventura.
Dublin-Almería
Flights: Tuesday and Saturday.
Schedule: Planes will leave Dublin at 2.45pm and will arrive in Almeria at 6.45pm. Coming back, flights will take off at 7.10pm and reach Dublin at 9.15pm.
According to the airline’s marketing and sales director in Spain, Maribel Rodríguez, more than 2,000 tickets for the new service have already been sold.
Ryanair began operations from Almería to London Stansted in January 2005 and up to the end of 2006, the airline carried some 230,000 passengers.

Dublin-Vitoria
Flights: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
Schedule: Planes will leave Dubling at 6.15am and will arrive in Vitoria at 9.30am. On the way back, flights take off at 9.55am and land at 11.05am.
The airline has already started a promotion campaign, selling tickets at 0.01 euros in its Web site. Adding the taxes, anyone can fly from Vitoria to the Irish capital for around 35 euros. The company expects to attract 60,000 passengers every year following the success the flight linking Vitoria and London is having, with 89,000 passengers in the first year running.

Flights: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Schedule: Planes will leave Dublin at 7.30am and will arrive in Seville at 11.30am. Return flights will take off at 12.10pm and touch down at 2.10pm.
Dublin-Billund
Flights: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Schedule: Planes will leave Dublin at 11.30am and will arrive in Billund at 2.30pm; on the way back, flights will leave at 2.55pm and get back at 4pm.
Rzeszow-Dublin
Flights: Wednesday and Friday
Schedule: Planes will leave Dublin at 4.50pm and will arrive in Rzeszow at 8.55pm. Return flights will leave Rzeszow at 9.20pm and get back to Dublin at 11.30pm.
Free flights
Ryanair has also launched an anti-passenger tax email campaign offering 1 mln “Free” flights (one-way, excluding taxes, from UK and Ireland) to those travellers who send chancellor Gordon Brown an email protesting against air passenger duty (APD).
